And if you happen to be in this very situation right now, you’ve come to the right place! Within this article, you will find three quick, easy and healthy oven recipes!

Oven Baked Chicken Breasts

Protein-rich and nutrient-efficient, chicken breast is recommended as one of the go-to foods in most health and wellness communities. And for a good reason – chicken offers you by far the leanest meat, with no excess of fat calories, backed up by excellent taste! This recipe will show you how to quickly and easily prepare delicious oven-baked chicken breast.

You will need:Quick And Easy Oven Recipes

  • Skinless and Boneless Chicken Breasts – 1 kg
  • Olive Oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Smoke Paprika – 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic Powder – 1 tablespoon
  • Oregano – 1 tablespoon
  • Salt – 1/2 tablespoon
  • Seasoning – grounded black pepper to taste

Begin by preheating your oven to 230 °C.

Drizzle the chicken with olive oil and liberally sprinkle it with the paprika, garlic, oregano, pepper and salt. Don’t forget to turn it around often – you want to get it evenly coated on all sides.

Put your chicken in the oven and bake for 25-35 minutes, depending on how thinly sliced your chicken breasts are. When the baking is done, take it out and cover it with some foil or a lid. Let it sit like that for at least 15 minutes. After that, you’re ready to serve! Slice against the grain and pair it up with any salad of your choosing.

Lemon Baked Cod

Lemon Baked Cod

The second recipe of this article features the other go-to healthy food type – fish. You’ll need:

  • Lemon Juice – 3 tablespoons
  • Butter – 3 tablespoons
  • Flour – 1/4 cup
  • Paprika – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon-Pepper seasoning – 1/4 teaspoon
  • 4 Cod Fillets
  • Grated Lemon Peel

Start by pre-heating your oven. Then take two shallow bowls. Use them to mix the butter with your lemon juice and the second – to add the seasonings to the flour.

Dip your fillets first in the lemon juice mix, followed by the one with flour and seasoning, making sure to get boat sides fully coated.

Place the fillets in a cooking spray-covered baking dish and drizzle the remaining lemon juice on top of them. Bake for 15 minutes and serve, sprinkled with a mix of parsley and lemon peel.

Sweet Potato FriesSweet Potato Fries

A quick and easy to prepare a snack for you and your family, for which you’ll need:

  • 1 Sweet potato
  • Canola Oil – 2 teaspoons
  • Salt – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cayenne Pepper – 1 pinch

Begin by preheating your oven. Then, peel and cut your sweet potato into wedges. Toss the wedges with the oil and seasonings. After they’re fully coated, spread them out on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake until your fries begin browning and then turn them. The entire process should take no longer than 20 minutes.

After you’re done with the entire cooking ordeal, you might want to give your oven another quick clean-up session to avoid potential grease buildups. Here’s a quick guide on cleaning and deodorising your oven with lemons:

  1. Grab yourself a medium oven-safe bowl and fill it with water. Slice two lemons in half and plop them in the bowl.
  2. Heat your oven up and leave the bowl on one of the racks for at least an hour.
  3. 60 minutes later, turn your oven off and prop the door open so it can begin cooling.

While your oven’s still warm (but not hot), slap on your cleaning gloves and wipe down the inside surfaces using a damp cloth. If you happen to encounter any stubborn spots, you can use a microfiber sponge to make quick work of them.
